Singles: 1) Undone-The Sweater Song June 24, 1994, 2) Buddy Holly September 7, 1994 3) Say It Ain’t So July 13, 1995

Tracks:

1: My Name Is Jonas

Solid start, having heard before, in line with Weezer sound. No idea what it’s about.

2: No one Else

Same musical style… But kinda creepy. “I want a girl who will laugh for no one else

When I'm away she puts her makeup on the shelf

When I'm away she never leaves the house

I want a girl who laughs for no one else”

Dude has been cheated on for sure.

3: The World Has Turned and Left Me Here

Good intro, drums and more bass. Obviously another break up song. But simple and singable. Catchy.

4: Buddy Holly

Classic track. Good hook. Love the bridge, the whole thing is nearly spoken word/rap-ish, but childish-like too.

5: Undone - The Sweater Song

Another fun, classic song. Never realized it’s basically people talking to the singer, and how he doesn’t want to talk and tries to awkwardly avoid the conversations. He only gives one word answers.

6: Surf Wax America

Very Weezer sound. Kinda an homage to The Beach Boys, also a middle finger to “normal” lifestyle of Americans.

7: Say It Ain’t So

What a classic song. Good hook, good chorus, and rocking bridge. Actually reading the lyrics, seems to be about daddy issues. Also, watched the music video, during the bridge, they’re playing hacky-sack. How 90’s.

8: In The Garage

Funny he makes “garage” a one syllable word. This is all about him being a nerd/dork and having his own space. I get it. I get it.

9: Holiday

Decent song. Nothing special. Reminds me, again, of The Beach Boys, with electric guitars and a bit of “edge.”

10: Only In Dreams

So it’s a song about a crush… Again, decent. Kinda childish. Guess it’s supposed to lend towards the awkwardness of the whole album.
